Making the Most of a 14-Day House Cleaning Software Free Trial
A free trial is easy to waste. You sign up, click around for twenty minutes, get pulled back into a busy week and log in again on day thirteen wondering whether it was any good. Two weeks is plenty of time to know, but only if you use it on real work.
Price Is Only Half of It
House Cleaning Software Pricing: What $59, $89 and $199 a Month Cover laid out what the plans cost. The trial is how you find out whether it is worth it for your company. MaidBossPro's trial lasts 14 days and needs no credit card.
Start With the Live Demo
If you want a feel for the system before you put your own clients in, click through the live demo first. It is filled with sample homes and teams, so you can see Recurring Cleanings, the dispatch board and the team app without setting anything up. Ten minutes there makes the trial setup faster, because you already know where things are.
Use Real Clients, Not Test Ones
The biggest mistake in a trial is using made-up data. Fake clients do not have tricky entry notes, dogs or changing schedules. Import your real client list by CSV on day one. Addresses are placed on the map automatically, and you will see your actual business laid out.
If you are not ready to move everyone, pick one team's homes or one part of town and use those.
A Two-Week Plan
Week one: set up and run.
- Import clients and check the map.
- Add your service list, extras and prices.
- Fill in details for next week's homes: type, beds, baths, square feet, pets, extras and entry notes.
- Add recurring cleanings in each client's usual day, time and team.
- Add your team with PINs and put them on the team app.
- Run at least two real days from the app.
Week two: the client side and billing.
- Turn on reminders and alerts and let clients choose theirs.
- Introduce a few clients to the customer app.
- Answer client texts from the office.
- Send a real estimate and get it approved online.
- Let invoices be created at completion, and charge a card on file.
The day-by-day version is in Setting Up House Cleaning Software in Your First Week.
Ask Your Team
Your cleaners are the best judges of the team app. After a few days, ask them:
- Was everything you needed on the card?
- Did you have to call or text the office for anything?
- Was it easy to start, photograph and complete a job?
- Would you rather go back to the old way?
If the answers are good, the hardest part of the switch is already done.
Ask the office side too. Whoever books cleanings and answers client texts will have a view on whether the Waiting List, the dispatch board and two-way texting made their day easier. If they spent less time on the phone and less time hunting for door codes, that is a strong sign. If something kept slowing them down, write it down and look for the setting or habit that fixes it before day 14.
Watch for the Moments That Matter
During the trial, notice the small moments that tell you whether it fits:
- A new cleaner gets into a home using only the entry notes on their phone.
- A client replies to a night-before reminder to move a day, and the office handles it in one place.
- A team taps Complete and the invoice is already there.
- You open Recurring Cleanings and see a series running out that you would have missed.
- You book a returning client and the details fill in from their last job.
Questions to Answer by Day 14
- Did it save time this week compared with how you worked before?
- Did anything fall through the cracks that would not have before?
- Did clients notice, and what did they say?
- Which plan fits your text use and team size?
If the answers point the right way, pick a plan and keep going. Your clients, homes and history stay right where they are.
If You Need More Time
Two weeks is enough for most companies, but life happens. If a busy stretch kept you from really trying it, it is better to be honest with yourself about that than to decide based on a few clicks. Either way, the decision should come from your real week, not from a sales page. Common mistakes to avoid in that decision are covered in Mistakes Maid Service Owners Make When Choosing Software.
