Cleaning Type, Beds, Baths, Square Feet and Pets: Reading the Job Card in the Maid Service App

Every cleaning team lead has walked into a home and thought, “Nobody told me this was a deep clean.” Or “This is not a two-bathroom house.” Or, from behind the door, a bark. The job card is where that surprise goes away. It tells the team what kind of job this is before anyone opens the trunk.

Right Under the Address

The navigation button gets the team to the house, as covered in The Navigation Button: One Tap From the Job Card to the Next Home. The line right under the address tells them what is waiting inside.

In MaidBossPro that line reads like this:

Recurring Maintenance · 3 bed / 2 bath · 1,800 sq ft · Dog

Five facts in one glance: the cleaning type, the bedrooms, the bathrooms, the square feet and the pets. The same line shows on the office lists, so the person scheduling and the person cleaning are reading the same thing.

Cleaning Type

The first word on the card is the most important one, because it sets the pace for the whole visit. MaidBossPro uses six cleaning types:

A team that reads “Deep Clean” packs differently, plans more time and expects to be the last car in the driveway. A team that reads “Recurring Maintenance” knows the home has been kept up and can move at a steady pace.

Bedrooms, Bathrooms and Square Feet

Beds and baths are the quickest way to size a home, and they are usually how the job was priced. Square feet fills in what beds and baths miss: a three-bedroom ranch and a three-bedroom two-story with a finished basement are not the same day.

For the team, these numbers do three jobs:

Pets

The pet entry is short but it matters. “Dog” on the card means the team expects a dog at the door. The entry notes below can say more: friendly or nervous, loose or crated, stays in the laundry room, do not let out the front door. Cats are worth noting too, especially for cleaners with allergies and for homes where a cat might slip out an open door.

Pets also change the work. Pet hair on furniture and stairs, food bowls on the kitchen floor, a litter area to work around. A team that knows ahead can bring the right vacuum attachment and plan the time.

Where the Details Come From

The office does not type these details fresh for every visit. When an estimate is built with the bedrooms, bathrooms, square feet and pets, those details carry onto the job when the customer approves it. And when the office books a new job at a home you have cleaned before, MaidBossPro fills it in from that home's last job, with a note saying so. That is covered in Past Notes and Customer Preferences: How the Maid Service App Remembers Each Home.

The result is that the card is right on day one and stays right, unless something in the home changes. When it does, the team's note is how the office finds out.

Below the Line: Extras and Entry Notes

Under the size line, the card shows extras marked with a plus, such as “+ Change Linens”, and below that the entry notes. Extras are covered in the next guide and entry notes in the one after. Read together, the three parts of the card answer every question a team has in the driveway: what kind of clean, what was added, and how to get in.
