The Cleaning Sign-Up Form: Letting Customers Pick a Service and Price Online

Some customers do not want a quote. They have already read your website, they know roughly what they want, and they are ready to sign up. Making them fill in a request form, wait for a call and then approve an estimate adds steps they did not ask for. A sign-up form lets them pick a service, see the price and sign up with a card, in one go.

Quote or Sign Up?

The request form, covered in The Website Cleaning Quote Request Form: Getting Leads Into Form Responses, is for customers who want you to price their home. The sign-up form is for customers who are ready to choose from prices you have already set.

Both are useful. The question is which services you are comfortable selling without talking to the customer first.

How the Sign-Up Form Works

In MaidBossPro, the sign-up form shows the services and prices you choose to offer. The customer picks what they want, enters their details and address, and their card is captured as part of signing up. The sign-up flows into Form Responses, where the office can review it.

From Form Responses, one click converts a sign-up into a client, with the address and the card on file. That step is covered in detail in the next guide. Customers can also sign up for services from inside the customer app once they are clients.

Which Services Suit Online Sign-Up

Online sign-up works best for services with predictable work and clear prices:

Keep these on the quote request form instead:

A rule of thumb: if you would want to ask more than a couple of questions before giving a price, it belongs on the request form.

Setting Prices for Sign-Up

The prices on a sign-up form are prices you are committing to before anyone has seen the home, so set them with that in mind. Example options a company might list:

These numbers are illustrations only. Add a short line to the form or your website stating that the price assumes the home matches the size chosen and is in normal condition, and that the company will contact the customer before the second visit if it does not. That keeps online sign-up fair for both sides.

How to set the underlying prices in the first place is covered in Pricing House Cleaning by Bedrooms and Bathrooms.

What the Office Does Next

A sign-up is not quite a booking yet. The office still needs to:

Do this quickly. A customer who signed up and paid with a card expects to hear from you soon, ideally the same day.

Keep the choices you offer for sign-up short. A customer faced with twenty options and fifteen add-ons is more likely to leave than to choose. A few clear options, such as two or three home sizes at each frequency plus a handful of popular add-ons, cover most people. Anyone who does not fit can use the request form instead.

Review what people choose every few months. If almost nobody signs up for one option, remove it. If many people ask for something you do not list, consider adding it.

The Card on File Helps Everyone

Capturing a card at sign-up means the first visit is less likely to be a no-show, and payment is simple from the start. When the team completes a job, the invoice is created and the card on file can be charged. Customers can update their card later in the customer app.

A sign-up form will not replace quotes for every job, but for straightforward recurring cleans it removes steps for the customer and the office alike. For how the sign-up form fits with estimates and approval, visit the house cleaning estimate software page.
